STARS Company was founded in 1988 by Edmund Cho, an engineer and entrepreneur highly motivated to invest in electronic motion control at a time when its potential was recognized by only a few.

STARS is a leader in motion control for battery-powered vehicles. It was among the few companies to manufacture a complete line of motor controllers worldwide and the only one in Taiwan.

STARS is headquartered in Taoyuan, Taiwan, where we maintain an EV R&D center, assembly factory, and warehouse.

Our main markets include the USA, China, Japan, the Philippines, and Taiwan. Our sales distribution is as follows: 50% for electric vehicles (two, three, and four-wheeled vehicles), 22% for battery-powered industrial vehicles, 18% for material handling machines, and 10% for ODM motor controllers.

Today, our motor controllers are used in various types of electric vehicles, including electric bikes, electric motorcycles, sweepers, scooters, golf carts, passenger carriers, light on-road vehicles, pallet trucks, forklifts, and AGVs.
