Product Info
Our company has developed a specialized surface treatment technology that enables components within Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzers (PEMWE) to withstand high current densities for extended periods without undergoing oxidation. Additionally, our proprietary catalyst slurry formulation and coating technology allow PEMWE to operate at high current densities without experiencing peeling or performance degradation over time. As a result, our PEMWE products can achieve smaller volumes and longer lifespans while maintaining the same hydrogen production capacity.
Product Solutions
Currently, there are roughly three main methods of water electrolysis: alkaline water electrolysis, proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis, and anion exchange membrane water electrolysis. Among these, alkaline water electrolysis, despite being the earliest developed, suffers from issues such as lower hydrogen purity and slower response times, limiting its usage. Conversely, while anion exchange membrane electrolysis is relatively cheaper, it is a newer technology that faces significant concerns regarding its lifespan.
In contrast, PEM water electrolysis, despite its slightly higher unit cost due to the use of precious metal catalysts, offers advantages such as the production of high-purity hydrogen and oxygen and rapid response times. It is particularly suitable for integration with unstable renewable energy sources such as solar power. Additionally, PEM water electrolysis technology is mature and meets commercial operational requirements in terms of performance, efficiency, and lifespan.
