ReShore Technologies Co.,Ltd. was established in June in 2000. After that, besides construction projects running, the company invested in research and development mainly for prevention and control of land slide, protection of bridge piers, and recovery of the eroded coast. It has developed a completely new flexible technical method through model tests collocating with NCKU laboratory tests, and field experiments, the product we call Derosion Lattice. Our technology effectively fights beach erosion by reducing wave energy, while capturing sand that is suspended in the nearshore waters. Made with eco-friendly and highly durable material, the Derosion Lattice is designed to be submerged in shallow sea water. Unlike sand nourishment, our method does not need to be repeated every couple of years; the sand accumulated does not get eroded away again, and will not bury creatures or coral reefs alive. Our method reduces wave energy through friction and vibration, enabling sediments to evenly and steadily accreted on the beach. Unlike breakwaters which change the direction of the waves, our method will NOT create a groyne effect and cause erosion further down the coastline. From 2008 till now we have successful projects with the Derosion Lattice which 1. install at the North Shuang-chun coast of Tainan, Taiwan; 2. to protect cliff coasts with beaches ahead on the coasts of Beishan Cliff of Kinmen Island, Taiwan; 3. to prevent the end effect at Songkhla, Thailand; 4. to prevent the end effect at Shinhanakhon, Thailand. Derosion Lattice is fixed in the intertidal zone, while Derosion Boat is fixed and floats at a depth of 2.5 meters. Its deposition is twice that of the former, and as the beach line moves forward, Derosion Boat can continue to move forward or move to other eroded areas.
